Welcome to my neck of the woods. Check out the museum if you ever get the chance. Lot of nice history they have there. Our instructor took us on a tour through all the equipment. Was interesting to see how somethings had changed and other things like basic truck design that hadn't changed. Good luck on the test and enjoy the ride!

It sounds like you're close to being finished. Best of luck to you on your test and finishing out.

To those of you considering Millis, it seems like a great company. All the Millis people seem genuine and friendly, and they really treat you well. We were a part of the driver appreciation day this last week, in which we all received a free lunch, and company t-shirts, despite the fact that we were not official employees yet. It was a nice gesture on their part, and made me feel like part of the Millis family.

Bill is a great instructor, with many years of experience. I've enjoyed my training, and I'm looking forward to my next phase with my trainer.

A thought for some of you guys considering Millis. I did not take the option to stay in the hotel that Millis arranged. I commuted about 5 hours each day for class. I left my house at 3:15 a.m. every morning, and arrived about 30-40 min. early each day. I got home around 7:30-8 p.m. each night. It's a very long day to do it that way. If you choose to commute, consider the cost of fuel vs. staying at the hotel. For me, my decision was to commute so I could see my wife and kids for the 3 1/2 weeks while at training each day, because I knew I would not be able to when I went on the road with my trainer. The car I drive gets very good fuel economy, which also allowed me to commute at a cheap rate. So if you're not close, you'll be hard pressed to be at class by 6 a.m.
