No, I believe that you've done enough harm. If he's having a tough time with a co driver, you're a straight up nightmare. Thanks a bunch!
Anyways, Mr Sane, stateside, on a single axle (be it drive or trailer) they give you 20000/ axle. On a tandem, they give you 17000/axle or 34k. The 10'2 spread is not considered a tandem and thus gets the weight limits of a single axle, hence 40k on the spread.
Why?
Axle spacing. It's spreads the load out father, which in turn causes less road damage from the weight. Flatbedding has always been and always be work. Physically and mentally. It forces you to think. Some people live for it, some hate it.
flatbed questions pls

This does not allow you to go over the gross legal limit of 80,000#. It just helps with loading heavy freight onto the trailer (placement), and having an axle more towards the center is less stress on the trailer.
Did they explain load securement to you?TripleSix Thanks this. -

@Chewy352 I pulled alot of steel buildings wrapped up like that pipe. I found that pipe stakes help to mitigate most of the almost guaranteed failure of the wood holding the bundles together. how that would work in a covered wagon though I don't know.

Thx for the pic. I've never even seen something like that on the road. How does that pull uphill in the winter? You're tougher than me.
