I was watching this loadboard video on Youtube :
And there seems to be a long Origin/Destination window gap, i.e Pick up April 11 and Deliver on April 14...for short haul loads. What happens with these types of loads? Am I missing something?

I have taken loads with extra time on it going through the house, that way i got home without having to find a load to the house soo sometimes extra time works out the way you want it to.
There's seemingly endlessly way to book and run your operation. -

So I keep lurking in the background on this thread because it really is a good barometer of how things are at SNI and because I still have a few friends over there running and they are struggling similar to some of you all as well.
@freightwipper and @Cledus Snow , It's literally one year and a couple days to the date of of when SNI killed the freight on the IC program. In that time they have slowly and systematically reduced the rates to below market conditions and the amount of freight they make available to the IC's on the board. We see that there is great paying freight when SNI accidently puts those loads on the board and later find out it was meant for the company drivers. We see it also when SNI "Cancels" a good paying load on an IC and gives it to the company truck because SNI wants the revenue.
Almost 9 months ago I posted 2 ideas on here that I think was happening. First, it looked like SNI was going bankrupt based off the mass firings, the selling off of old equipment, the mass shrinkage in available IC freight. Then after further review, I realized they were getting ready for an IPO. Everyone on here called me silly and stupid among other names. Well @TennMan , was kind enough to start a new thread last Friday where SNI announced they are getting ready for an IPO and trying to raise $7 million in the initial offering. By the way, the early stages of a bankruptcy and getting ready for an IPO do look the same, that's why I mentioned both earlier this year.
My Point is this, don't expect to see a huge increase in rates or freight on the IC side until the IPO has finished, which means probably not until next year. This IPO is why you are seeing SNI push so hard to lock new IC's into a 3 year lease by offering $0 down and high sign on bonuses, it gets the trucks they ordered working so they can show a profit on the bottom line for each unit instead of a negative draw for an unutilized piece of equipment. Lock all these new IC's in for 3 years and show to investors the amount of profit that can be made off each unit to SNI regardless of what each IC makes is a good picture to paint if you want investors to give up their money!
@freightwipper , If I was in your shoes, I would really look at the numbers again and make sure it makes sense to be team at this point in time at SNI. There is no reason why SNI doesn't have critical expedited freight for the team IC's. My guess is all that good high paying stuff is being kept on the company side because it helps them boost their bottom line and look good to potential investors. As soon as SNI finishes the IPO, everything they do will be to please those investors which changes the way SNI looks at IC's, freight, company drivers, the number OC's they have, the benefits they offer at each OC, and so on. It all becomes how can we increase the bottom line and make our investors happy and increase our stock prices.scottlav46, FullMetalJacket, TennMan and 5 others Thank this. -
If SNI team division doesn't work out for you guys, don't worry- John Christner Trucking is paying 95cpm for teams! Better act fast though, because I just heard about it on XM radio and spots are filling fast.
