This going public is going to get very interesting...what companies is Schneider going to include? Raising 7 million is not a lot of money for a company that is surely valued at over 2-4 Billion. That's like a deck chair blowing off the Queen Mary.
Also, I think the IPO will be good for us ICs as we will know everything about the operations...complete orange-transparency so to speak I love reading Swifts quarterly results there lease ops make them a ton of money...

It's 700 million and it won't include SFI nor Logistics is my guess.
sealevel and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
My luck ran out on relays, and customer service still continues to suck.
So, after church on Sunday, and a way too big lunch at On The Border, left home and bobtailed down the road to our drop yard in Lowell, AR to pick up a short relay headed into Missouri. It got me a trailer since I didn't have an empty, and took me to where nice load was for Monday morning. That was, until I arrived, unlocked the gate, drove inside and found my trailer to have a broken seal. Checked the load, just charcoal and nothing looked touched, sent in the seal macro and called in. Weekend wonders told me to call claims. Claims called customer service, customer service told me not to move until they heard from the customer. After a considerable wait on hold, claims comes back and tells me to wait for a message on my QC, and if nothing within an hour, to call my "DBL".
Almost an hour later, I call. By then, I am being forwarded from Charlotte to the next available terminal to answer my call. First time I have dealt with that. The hour wait allowed for a shift change, and guess what? The great and magnificent CS person went home, and made absolutely no notes about the situation for 2nd shift. 2nd shift couldn't get ahold of the customer, and at that point, they pulled the load. It's northwest arkansas, so there are no other loads to leave out with that day.
In three years, this was my first relay failure. I learned that you get absolutely no compensation for such a failure. I learned that customer service and the weekend staff in general continue to become more and more worthless.
On the positive side, I was at least able to bobtail 8 miles back to my house and have yet another nice evening at home, after being there for almost a week already, LOL. -
I'm with you on that..CS is a joke.
But it falls on deaf ears..no one cares.
Some Drivers included.
At least you were close to the house..makes it a bit easier to take. -
After pondering this mystical IPO for several days I am ready to make my pronouncement.
If the IPO actually emerges I don't think it will be for SNI as a whole. Logistics is the most likely candidate. They publicly looked at doing it 15 years ago. Having it as a separate company will create a nice legal distinction between the rate SL makes and what the ICs get.
Schneider bulk is my second guess. We all know it's been struggling and a not insignificant reason is it's size compared to SNI as a whole. There is a lot of room to grow the bulk side but facilities, training, and sales have to be focused in that direction. Currently bulk is the runt.
If it turns out to be the whole kit and caboodal then we're all royally ####ed in the ###. When I say ####ed in the ### I mean really ####ed. No reach around, not even any lube ####ed. You think micromanaging and "cost consciousness" is bad now just waiting until all ops is run from GB - no regional driver reps. Evil Genius Loftgren is behind it because he needs his 'big exit', cashing in on a company that he has done very little to grow. Giving the devil his due Loftgren has done an adequate job maintaining Schneider. Al made it, Don built it, Chris has just maintained and wants to take all the credit.Opus, alpha beta, Cledus Snow and 3 others Thank this. -
I had that happen once I put a Schneider seal on and went in as usual no one checks the seal and no issues. I knew I was gambling but I knew after hours is worse.
