Thanks @TROOPER to TRUCKER
We do have an active thread here of TTR and I will post a link to it after answering your questions.
I started here after getting my CDL in Florida. They offer a post CDL training program that helps you complete your education and make the transition to driving a CMV. I thought I would be here for 7-12 months and start looking around for the next job but I like it here so I never needed to fall back on Plan B like I would have done with a mega carrier.
Trucks: mostly Volvos and Kenworths with some Frieghtliners and Macks... all Autos with fridges and inverters... no APU but fairly liberal idling policies and bunk heaters for cool/cold nights.
Frieght: awesome customer loads going out and loads vary coming back. We haul mostly Dry Van but also do a fair share of Reefer.
Lanes: mainly I40 and I95 but we are a 48 State carrier. Yards in Richmond, VA and Wytheville, VA and West Memphis, AR and several other yards that we rent from other carriers in other States.
CPM: new drivers start at 36 then 37 after six months then 38 after two years. Can be higher if you have a lot of experience. 10 CPM added for our NE Region.
Miles: these can vary for a number of things but should be able to get 2500-3000/week if you are running hard. Can fluctuate a bit with season and location. We run day and night and everything in between.
The company offers 401k, medical, dental, vision, and a few other benefits too.
It's a very big small company. Meaning it's over 400 drivers but still has a small company feel to it... this can be good or bad at times... LOL
Please ask anything you wish to know.
I will also drop you an in its to our thread.
Stay Safe,
MDlfzebra, tscottme, dennisroc and 1 other person Thank this. -
Clarification: I said our main lanes are 40 & 95 but we do cover a much larger area than that.
I run mostly east of the Mississippi as I live in North Carolina and normally take hometime every other week. So I will be in any State in the Southeast with the occasional run to the NE or West depending on need.
We also have a group of dedicated drivers for the NE Region... so although we are 48 States and do run NYC, the Regional guys do most of that and us OTR guys don't hit it too often. I really don't mind the NE in general so I will volunteer up there sometimes and enjoy the variety.dennisroc Thanks this. -

guess I need to update my profile here.
On vacation the last several days and we went to the Asheville area to rent a cabin for a few days... it was in Hot Springs... we loved the hot tub soaks in fresh hot spring water.
We are looking for some property in the hills...
Would love to hook up sometime...
first round is on me. -
