Volvo 880 no longer available new, and most of the companies buying Volvo seem to be buying D13s even those who ran Cummins before.
Other than CB radio use, and even then, I would get a Cascadia, but its what I'm familiar with. Drove a 780 that was similar to the Cascadia, miles on the clock, 10 speed manual, fleet spec in both, and I like the FL better. -
Sorry thought the thread was titled "what truck should I buy?" - which gets asked every other week as if there is one manufacturer and combination that leads to success 100% of the time.
Volvo with cummins is fine, but if it were me and I was buying into Volvo I would buy their engine and transmission ... if I was hell bent on a cummins motor I would buy a Pete or KW. I believe the 780 is the biggest Volvo you can get now, and it has been mentioned somewhere here that is is significantly heavier than its 670 counterpart. Something to keep in mind. -
Thanks

I wouldn't buy a new cummins, to be honest. Unless you enjoy paying for inframes.

A Volvo with a Volvo engine is a much better choice.
