Heading to SpriMo. Be there this evening and will be there until Thursday morning.
We think we know what is causing the vibration on the truck, so hopefully they'll fix that tomorrow and then Tuesday I get all new graphics on the truck. Been waiting in those for 3 months now. Plus I need a just a good couple of days out of the truck as well so part of the time I'll be at the Ramada!

And we are "Home"....Well my second home aka Sprimo! Now just waiting on inbound to clear me, give me all the shots and allow me to pass through quarantine........Yay!!! I have just cleared quarantine. Now time to drop this trailer and find a hole to park in for the night!
So the reason for all of this is because this place i picked up at this afternoon had this long list of questions you had to answer before the guard would let you pass:
After signing this form I asked the guard where my clean suit was. She just laughed so hard she dropped her pen. -
Springfield, MA for the night.

So yesterday I got to freightliner shop at 1330 for them try and figure out this vibration issue I've been dealing with since day one with 0 miles on it. I've spent a ton of money on shops to tell me they can't find anything wrong even though it's having a vibration. Well this one mechanic found a bad engine mount that from where most techs look at it it looked good, but if you really crawl under there you would see the rubber cracked ask the way through. Not only did he see that, he find the torsion isolation bar for the cab was missing a bushing and had been rubbing metal on metal for a very long time.
Well that all for replaced last night and they didn't finish it up until 3am. We had hoped that would had fixed the problem. It didn't
Tonight I brought the truck back again to have the same mechanic work on it, now he was going to find what the problem was come hell or high water. His mentor who was an old school mechanic who no longer works on trucks but works in the office told him to check to make sure all the arrows were pointed in the right direction on the driver shafts and told him to measure the agles. The mechanic doesn't even get past the first axle when he finds the axel hangers were put installed backwards on the rear axel from the factory. Because it was in backwards it was throwing the angles off in the drive line! Hopefully tonight this will fix the vibration once and for all!
NavigatorWife, skellr, wolf71 and 3 others Thank this. -
even after all that, there should have been some kind of change in the vibration, but there hasn't. Because they are so stumped, they are waiting until morning to call the freightliner engineers to ask them what the heck could this be. Until they answer that question, our best guess is something in the transmission or the engine it's self
I'll find out more in the morning, but until then it's bed time!Chucktshoes, FullMetalJacket and wolf71 Thank this.
