    Could someone point me to the federal reg that states it is unlawful to possess alcohol in a CMV?

    Does anyone here know what Swifts policy is, as far as drinking in the truck? Could be 0 tollerence, as far as we know. He should had just drank his beer and went to sleep, instead of "cutting up on the C.B". Whatever he said, probably led to someone calling the law. As they say, "instant azzhole...just add alcohol". He got what he deserved.

    It happens that drivers drink in the truck,some People drink their dinner,most of the time without incident, but if they do get caught, it's a long fall from that driver's seat. You need to be able to do something else, or not have to work for awhile.

    I don't drive anything, including a car, if I have been consuming the products of fermentation in any amount.

    I don't see that as being advantageous to the police- I see that as being adventageous to the rest of us, and keeping us safe.

    Right- the best advice is to not to AVOID DRINKING, it's to hide in your truck if you're gonna get blitzed?

    Unreal.

    I quote straight from my drivers manual:

    "Swift's alcohol policy states that a driver may not:
    1. Consume or be under the influence of alcohol within 12 hours before going on duty, or operating, or having physical control of a motor vehicle;
    2. Consume or be under the influence of alcohol while on duty, or operating, or in physical control of a motor vehicle;
    3. Possess any alcohol while on duty or operating a motor vehicle, other than intoxicating beverages transported under a manifest as part of a shipment."

    Here's a test to see if you're fit to drive. If you don't see anything wrong with this chick's pic, give up your keys!
