Sitting & watching my 14 tick tock away in Greenville SC for the last 2.5 hours (& counting) waiting on these folks at this Walmart to load 200 not so gently used shopping carts on my truck. Had to show them how to get them on the trl. Guess I can add loading consultant to my multiple talents now.
Had an interesting conversation with my fm this morning about a few things. At one point, I literally had to bite my tongue so I wouldn't say something I probably would regret later. Let's just say that nowhere I looked yesterday or this morning for traffic info had anything about the ramps from I-95 to I-26 westbound being shut down. But yet I was supposed to know this and trip plan accordingly. Oh, and winters coming and I'm not telling you how to do your job...(yep, that's where the tongue biting came into play). No signs either, until 2 miles away from it. So, did a little back road sight seeing this morning. But, that wasn't the main thing that set my cap a little sideways. It was him saying that he knew that I wanted to get the other load delivered early because the storm concerned me (yeppers, it still does). That wasn't the only reason and I calmly (well maybe not so calmly) let him know the lack of miles was more concerning this pay period. If they would've let me determine which way to go yesterday out of FL, I would've been headed up I-75 (and closer to where they eventually figured out that they wanted me to go).
Whew. Ok, rant over.
BTW-I-16 in GA is now westbound only and you probably can't get on there from I-95 either. -
Hey Y'all
Sitting in MN doing a reset after getting 6 Hill Phoenix drops done last night. All at Cub Foods and unfortunately, not one of them had a dumpster for all the wood. So, I need to find a place to dump the stuff. Called a bunch of truck stops asking but no joy except for the Flying J on 94 at exit 116. They said I could use the Boss Shop's dumpster there. But it's 148 miles from me. Originally this morning, I was told to go ahead over there but then told to sit tight and reset here. So, The "mess" hangs in my mind. LOL
Hope everyone is well and running good.KD5AXG and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
