Drop and hook in Indy. Then dead head to Huntington, IN.

Got to the road to find it closed due to a washed out bridge. With no time on my clock, I had to call for LEO assistance to get backed out. Luckily, I got a SUPER cool deputy. He even took me for a tour of the area to help me find an alternate route.

Got to the shipper with -38 on my 14. Thankfully, after some begging, I can sleep here tonight.

The empty I grabbed from Indy has a tsndem slide issue. (Sigh) This load has time, so I'll be spending most of the morning at a Petro tomorrow.

I have toothpicks holding my eyelids open right now. Still a bit until I get loaded. Dropping this one in Wythville. New gate code, by the way. FYI.

    5speed and Lonesome Thank this.

Dead head move from Portland back to Colton. I called in this morning and spoke with Kimberley about trying to get me a load to the house, even through West Memphis so I can be home and help my wife pick up the mess from this hurricane, an hour later my QC blew up. 2 load assignments aka a preplan. Drop this empty in Colton, hook a loaded one there going to our Ellenwood Ga yard, hook a loaded one there that delivers Sunday morning in Miami. I might be vocal at times, rant occasionally, like last night in Portland, but let me tell you this, Kimberley came through Chris Nycum came through, and I'm so grateful I work with some great people.

This is only the second time I asked for something out of the ordinary, and both times the company came through. Trucking? It sucks at times, but boy do I work for a cool bunch of folks.

A few pictures of my house shuttered up. IMG_0006.JPG IMG_0005.JPG

No offence, JB, but that wouldn't have happened for all of us.

The house will survive. My wife is home in that dark dungeon of a house. Coco is doing great. My wife says we got a 7 year old chocolate lab back instead of a 12 year old one.

Call me naive, or living with rose colored glasses, but I'm going to disagree with you, I've had the company twice now step up, plus I know of a bunch of others that they have helped out in need.

Yup... count me in that bunch. This place can sure piss you off on several counts... but they do step it up and pull it together when a true need arises.

They've always taken care of me too. Kimberley is the best. Abilene has gone above and beyond whenever I have had issues and had to get home.
@KD5AXG--there's the door. No one is forcing you to stay at Abilene I haven't been keeping up with this thread until recently and I'm already tired of all the complaining and bagging on the company.
