I don't care who you are.

If you haven't eaten at a Waffle House....yer still a nobody.

Best #### value on the road...bar none.

An original Waffle House is located on Chain of Rocks Road, Granite City, IL. The van division of R-W Service System had a terminal nearby. I usually ordered heart-attack-on-a-plate, but survived.

There are many restaurants named "Waffle House" such as the ones at Watervliet and Lawrence, Michigan, that are not part of the original chain that can be identified by the prefab buildings.

Waffle House uses an interior layout derived from the diner.

They're prices have actually increasing pretty substantially in recent years. If you get the hashbrowns "all the way" with your meal it adds around $5 to the tab. Last time I ate there (Ft. Collins, CO) my bill was like $12 for the breakfast, coffee and the hashbrowns. Good food, but ####!

Yeah, the prices have gone way up - but I still love the place, there's a location 2 miles from my house. If you get the hashbrowns with everything, it's pretty much a meal in itself. Do you remember the all-you-can eat days? My main reason for going there, though, are the hashed-browns - the best on earth!
