Picked up a load of coiled wire loaded shotgun on a flatbed. The receiver usually has it shipped in vans but someone made a mistake and sent a few loads flatbed.
Receiver refused to unload for safety reasons. I guess it was cheaper to haul it 1300 miles back to the shipper than transloading it to a van. WFM.

NavigatorWife and 6wheeler Thank this. -
5 trucks, I was one of them drove around 3 states with a load of garbage once. Nobody wanted it. Go figure. Final 3 days later we off loaded. Bizarre comes to mind.

Onions get turned down most of the time. They eventually unload anyways. I"m thinking the receivers don't want to pay up.
One load i took to Jacksonville. Almost didn't unload me though. Lumpers don't work on Saturday. It was my first time dealing with a lumper place. On a flatbed load. If it wasn't for the rain coming in, i probably wouldn't have gotten unloaded.NavigatorWife and 6wheeler Thank this. -
Un1866 resins from Columbus to indy, rec refused b.c columbus Sent order earlier that month....sent back to Columbus. When they were through with me they didn't want to sign the bol, I said I'm not leaving until I have ur signature and a copy of bol.
Guess they thought they could get the return for free....sorry, been out here 25 plus years, i know the scam all too well.NavigatorWife, JReding, Big Don and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm not at all sure that I'd have agreed to take that load again. At least without negotiating a "Putting Up With B S" charge. But hell, as long as you made money with it, guess that is all that matters.
I think you're right. What a crock of crap some of these places and people are...
To me, your refusal was completely logical.
Hmmm, that must have smelled even better when you off loaded it, than when you loaded it!
NavigatorWife, okiedokie, tucker and 2 others Thank this. -
Once I had a shipper sign my BOLs and then they refused to unload it. The guy that signed them was new there, but legally the signature was binding, so it was now their stuff. I told them if they didn't unload, I'd do it myself so I unloaded with with a pallet jack and left their stuff on the dock. Said see ya!NavigatorWife, 6wheeler, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this.
