Well well well..... the leak was true. Schneider lied to so many people. Understandably to an extent. Not that I agree with it. I can just get that they wouldn't want to say their intent with the IPO being the fact that they tried to be secretive and that backfired. Many things make sense about it. Personally I'm not a fan of it. I came here with a mindset of hoping to find a home long term. Understanding that having no experience would mean starting at the bottom pay scale wise but that there are so many people I've met here that have been here for 20+ years. But also thinking of this as a stepping stone to a company that pays more competitively if need be in the future. After being here a short time and reading on here and the kicker of it all the "why we want to stay union free" letter online it's become more apparent that the concern is more for profit inside as well as honestly, in my opinion, purposely driving the price of freight down. If you read it subjectively, it's clearly outlined as cost oriented. The us part of it, company or independent driver, is minimalized other than "a direct relationship with you" part. See how that works for you when they mess up your pay. Lol. I complained for the better part of 2 months and was essentially laughed at when they ripped me off for 2cpm the first 2 months because they put me on per diem. When I asked for the 2cpm back they didn't say "our mistake, we'll look into it" rather "we won't reimburse that money while you were on per diem because we lost your paper you signed". No one inside the company will fight for me. Where is the "we want a relationship dealing directly with you" then? Now we shift focus more where profit mattered before on an inside matter, it now matters for both inside and outside. Where there already was a lack of focus on being competitive in driver pay, you have to believe it will be much harder now when there many more people to please. I can be looking at it completely wrong of course. Hopefully I am. One reason is because per message I'm directed to say no comment. You'll have to contact some rich guy named Paul instead. Only a couple of you read this blog, or whatever you want to call it. So, this is highly sensitive and confidential material. As my readers, you are directed to keep it as such. Because I just typed it. Just like they did lol. What a joke......

Waggledaddy Thanks this.

Yep, they don't care, they're PROUD to be union free.
Having said that, if you find your terminal manager and explain to him the per diem situation, it may be a favorable outcome. That is the only way I know to get anything done in that company. I know you said that you used to work in sales, so you obviously are capable of having a rational conversation with another personWaggledaddy Thanks this. -

Which reminds me, I never received a $7 reimbursement, thanks to Obetz. Probably too late to pursue that one.Waggledaddy Thanks this. -
