An empty will be easy running. Once you get back to wytheville you just stage them up front, no need to back them into a spot.

I went 2 hrs early for my liveload at mtn top only to find the doors locked and the lights switched off. Security girl came over from guard shack said my liveload is actually a preloaded hook that had been ready since yesterday.
Oh well, one of these days I will learn not to pay too much attention to the load info.
The main thing is I got it to wytheville and made tonight's cutoff. Hopefully winters will take this trailer a day early also so I dont have to sit on it until monday.
Beautiful scenery up by mtn top I brought my camera with me but of course the most picturesque scenes are when I'm driving with nowhere to safely stop.KD5AXG Thanks this. -

In defense of the company? Well, I'll play nice and not go there, or too far there anyway. They could be a little more selective. I've heard some crazy things about a few of the newer candidates that really has me scratching my head. How about better pay, lower cost benefits, better communication between office and driver, and again, be more careful about hiring. A more satisfied driver pool tends to work better. Of course, that might be a little like right so it'll never happen.MidWest_MacDaddy and JohnBoy Thank this. -

I was in the lounge one day and bill was testing a new candidate and he was struggling too. It was so obvious he didn't know the material or just wasn't getting it. Doesn't matter either way but Bill began to give him a not so nice "pep talk"... I didn't disagree with anything Bill was saying or the tone and seriousness of it in general... the guy needed to hear it and bluntly so...
but if one is to get an official dressing down and/or kick in the seat... the very public and busy vending area is not the place for such personnel interactions.... he needs a room upstairs for testing and attitude adjustments.RebelChick Thanks this. -
it makes competing for those good quality loads just a bit easier when that's the competition that we are facing from the other drivers... LOL
Let's see... we have a very important load that must be there and on time... should we give it to;
A) one of the complainers on the patio that just sit and wait for loads while trash talking the company.
OR
B) one of these new guys that can't preplan their way out of a wet paper bag with a sharp knife.
OR
C) one of those TOTALLY AWESOME DRIVERS from The Truckers Report thread...
LOL ... after all, someone has to finish delivering all those local loads that @chralb keeps dropping on the yards.popcorn169, chralb, bigred81 and 2 others Thank this.
