When I was a account manager I shared a office with a couple people and drivers would walk in all the time to get paperwork. I didn't have a conference room available as well. I would always take a walk with them around the warehouse or outside in the yard if the weather permitted. That almost always gave us the privacy to speak freely. That was the solution I came up with that issue. No one deserves to have issues aired publicly. Plus it gave me a way to get feedback on how I was doing my job and if I could make improvements. I cared about the drivers and wanted know if I could do anything to help even with sick kids or family members. Sometimes just being a soundboard helps others out. I tried to do this once a month with each driver. Plus it help remind me that they humans just not numbers to move freight.

Ok, I take it back. You CAN park at the Walmart in Monroe WI. The person I talked to last night was apparently unaware. I called to see if I could park to shop and lo and behold was told I could park for the night. So here and listening to my Steelers on the radio since I can't get them on tv.
Lonesome, MidWest_MacDaddy and Redtwin Thank this.
