Woke up this morning in Chilicothe, OH. Drove for 8 hours straight to get to the consignee in Henrico. The load assignment said that I could deliver it anytime between 10/11 7:00am to 10/14 12:00pm. So I rolled up to their tiny little yard today at 3:45pm, almost two days early.

    "We close at 3:00pm"

I threw down the red challenge flag, and after further review from the officials in the replay booth, they agreed to let me bump their dock and unload my stuff.

So I navigated through this tiny, twisty, turny, tight-as-crap yard littered with all manner of industrial debris on either side to get to the side of the building with the docks. There were two. Both were occupied. Got in the cab and waited for one to clear up. Eventually it did. Pulled down the street, then backed in to another driveway and around a curve to get into the dock. Had about 20 feet of clearance in front of the tractor once I was bumped, to give you an idea.

But by God I got it in there.

After that I rolled to the yard to refuel and replenish my DEF, then left the shop a ticket to see if they can get my truck to idle when it's supposed to idle. Spending tonight in my own bed, and taking a shower in my own shower. And there was much rejoicing.

You do know that part of the reason that I wrote that was for your benefit... ;-)

    Yes, stuff does happens.
No, it's not always our fault.
Sometimes our choices impact the whole week.
And yes, it's ok to vent from time to time.

    Thanks for playing along... :D

And stuff happens that is our fault. Example is me. I was so concerned about the detour and re routing around 95, I forgot to send my depart shipper message. Once I got here to my consignee, I get a message of what trl do you have? I was like why they asking me that for, then I started looking and I was like...ohh ####. My bad yall

I'm doing my best not to air my dirty laundry on here anymore. I know I have taken more than my fair share of bandwidth biotching.

I'm shut down for a 10+ at West Memphis. Got a message about a load, but as my meds are kicking in, I couldn't read it. I requested a run by home for a reset, but I think they are sending me to Richmond instead.

I also keep hearing about a driver's meeting in the near future....? Truth? What I'm hearing sounds downright laughable. As many drivers as possible in Richmond at one place and time? Please tell me this is a joke. Logistically, that would be a nightmare and a half.
