Few years back I was sent to a place in Aliquippa, PA (NW of Pittsburgh). I wouldn't make it before they left but was told no problem to park in their lot and load first thing in the morning. I got there about 1900, parked up without issue and took off on foot to explore a bit and hopefully find a local watering hole. It was winter and well after dark. The neighborhood was dead. There were houses. Looked like a couple bars. Nothing was open. Everyone's lights were off. It was one of the most bizarre places I've ever been. It was like a ghost town that really didn't look like a ghost town. Not really a weird parking place but definitely memorable.

Yellowstone and glacier national parks. Got woke up in glacier with the truck rocking, got up to see what was going on and there were bears on the deck. I had backed up near a dumpster.

Back when i had a van i asked a receiver in Louisville if i could spend the night in their lot. Two middle age black woman looked at each other for a minute. Then one says to me, you're a white boy. You probably better not.
Ok i said. Cant argue with honesty

Sure is... At the Peelot tonight. Was backing in and a lot lizard came ambling up as I'm slow rolling into a spot, literally hadn't even hit the air breaks: 'whatchu doin'?'..... Backing this truck up and not buying what you're selling beeatch! They got beer inside, I'll settle on that!
I know my vice and time to roll. Your ### hasn't, nor will it be, factored.

    Good God, get me gone.

In 87 I'd been driving maybe a month and they locked me inside the st Louis produce market for the night which was fine with me .
Then sometime after dark I turned on the spotlight and there rats all over hell ..any thoughts of getting out of the truck went away .

I use to deliver to a bakery and convention center in St Louis and hated it.
