There are so many things for a rookie to consider. Obviously, pay is very important. I need help!

Only 20% of their take home pay is spent on Advil and chiropractors though.

Best Friend did that for 25 years, healthiest, best built, 60 yr old I know. It's good pay, real hard physical work and pretty stressful at times.

Gordon Food Service, Douglassville, GA they should hire you there hiring right now for Chain drivers it'll be perfect for you, you'll get experience with 28', doubles *maybe probably not right off the rip, 36' and 50' especially if your in chains lots of 50' experience. They may have a sign on bonus one of there drivers is a member of this board he can answer all of your questions.
Please come over and visit us on the food service sub forum, (were grouped in with the LTL guys)
We have representatives, from MBM, Gordon Food Service and McLane

Also I don't think they will hire a new CDL grad, but I could be wrong you have many options with Golden State Foods or Martin Brower GSF and MB are the biggest McDonald's warehousers and suppliers in the country big money to be made:
