It's not doctor shopping to get a second opinion.

 

I am a big guy myself 18 1/2 inch neck 330 lbs I am 6 foot 4. For her to tell yuu need it checked you have a large neck and a 38 bmi or higher.. Dont stress out just get it done....

 

If you have decent credit get a loan to make a few house payments and to take the test.

 

I had a home test and bought a used machine and new supplies. Was about $1k all in, probably could be done for less. The thing is you need the treatment time to show the therapy works for you. At this point I don't see any way for you to get around this.

 

So you aren't or want employed at the time?

 

Yes one of my students had to do this. There are several home test DOT approved for $150 or less

 

Get a loan large enough to cover the test and a few house payments.

 

Go to work for Schneider for a week or two. Their DOT physical is the hugest cattle walk on the planet. You do your own sleep apnea survey. Correct answer on said survey is " NO ", just like the rest of the questions.

SHAZAM !!!!! Two year card.

Drive a load or two. Take your card, and live happily ever after.

How can you certify yourself you ask? It's mega / government trucking and they need drivers, so the rules need not necessarily apply.
