If the ash level is high there is nothing a regeneration can do for you.....ash is the result of regen's and it needs cleaned or replaced, end of story.

I don't know exactly what I'm talking about, so please bear with me and perhaps I can offer a bit of advice......
I was told, "Freightliner / DD, does not 'clean' filters", they replace. My experience was about $3,000, out the door.
However, the Atlanta (jonesboro) Peterbuilt dealer said they could clean it for something between $300 and $500. The Detroit folks said, "yes, they can clean it, but we won't reset the codes or computer or whatever.".
So, I'm just saying, it can be cleaned and maybe run you another year or so, but you have to find someone at Freightliner / DD to reset the computer.
That was my experience.......I replaced the filter. -

I'm having the same problem where it wants a manual regin every 6-800 miles.
I want to ask if B20 diesel has anything to do with dirty dpf's. -

The main problem is the lack of code, when mine had regen issues it always gave a code...

This was a test that Detroit was involved in to find out how far a DPF could go before needing to be cleaned.
They were measuring the buildup in the DPF every 25,000 miles. -
