    Doesn't make any difference to buy old number, when it is transferred, you get assigned a new number. no more hiding your safety records.

    Not true,the MC stays the same after transfer.The US dot changes which doesn't affect your low insurance rate and broker wise because they still go by the MC.Insurance goes by safety score and how old the company is,the company can change 10 owners and it won't make a difference so stop discouraging people from puchasing an old MC while MCS are still around it is well worth the investment.
