In a lot of ways I think my intent is misunderstood. I wish the TTR forums had a place to post this, if they do I can't find it. I admit I am a VERY OPINIONATED person. I think I get this from my mother. When I say prove me wrong with links and documentation is is NOT a challenge. It is a request. I am not a closed minded person. All I ask is if you think I am wrong show me! I do not take it as an affront to my manhood if you do so. I do not ever want to give bad advice EVER not only in this forum but in others like it. You are doing me a big favor if you do this. However font beating me or basically telling me Te futueo et caballum tuum serves neither of us any good. This is right from my heart and there are people right here in these forums that know me in the flesh and blood world that already know it. So if you think I am wrong on that RPM thing PLEASE educate me!
Is stalling the tractor an automatic fail on the road test?

I'm going to do both of us a favor and ignore that comment.I will say this however. If you could not gather the intent of that phrase nothing I can say in English will help either

Except we all (mostly) comprehend English, not Latin.

I think if I may insert the sense that power changes, in today's computer engines the computer onboard the engine block may make a decision how much fuel to deliver to engine based on the fly by wire information of the driver's foot, transmission, LOAD, status of the wheel rotation and sometimes radar input from forward and or the ground below.
Older iron air breathing engines used to make beautiful music when it's right in the sweet power spot. Most of you newer drivers have never heard this music. One of the things taken away by the computer stuff these days. -
The thing is RPMs, transmission gear ratio's and road speed are ratios of each other and does not change. I could be at 80,000 pounds and doing 45 MPH or 25,000 doing 45 MPH and as long as I am in the same gear my tach is going to read the same. I don't understand why that point is not understood by someone who claims to be a trucker. I really wish the guy would come back. All I seen was a rant then a call out for help. Last thing I 'm going to do is call out someone, insult them then ask the forums for help. Do sane people do that?
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
wow that is scary. i bet a lot of kids go home and take the test through their local DMV?

I sure hope our newer truckers are being educated in what is under the cab and why it works the way it does rather than milled out at high speed to feed volume starved shareholders or something. -
Basically it was pass this time or do the entire thing all over again at another school and starve since I spent all of my food money at this school.Last edited: Oct 26, 2016

Your first mistake was not having some savings. I once washed dishes for fast food 6 weeks to have about 1200 before I went down to a hire by plane orientation etc.
Weeezerd Thanks this.
