Then I'd go without question. Well, I would anyway actually. That's a heck of an offer to get you home man. BT from Atlanta to Houston? That's 793 miles. The guy is bending over backwards for ya. Heck, I wish I had a paid load like that! lol
Have you ever been at the yard and BT'd out to the store or somewhere like we all do all the time? It's no different bud. As OTR drivers we're all over the country and that truck is our only means of "personal" transportation when not dispatched.
High time for you to start looking at a half FULL glass. Enjoy your HT.![]()

It is completely legal. If Mr. J is involved, then do as you are told. Like CHRALB said, they don't want you to leave.
Lonesome, WotansVolkman, chralb and 1 other person Thank this. -
Why would they possibly want me to stay? I don't get it. Thanks to this thread, I realized that I don't fit in here.
I really can't tell which Alan it was that called me. I just don't see Alan J having any interest in little ol' me. Kimberly doesn't, I did get that verified today.
I have an offer from a local company, as well as a part time offer from the CDL school I attended. I'm due to start the local job orientation on Nov 8. -
No last names please, folks. Please keep it to only the initial, unless it's for a celebrity.
WotansVolkman, JohnBoy, chralb and 1 other person Thank this. -

With all due respect and forgive me for being blunt, but, as far as you not fitting in, you've really done about all you can to sabotage that. Everyone here has bent over backwards trying to show you that and help you change your outlook. Perhaps we're wrong for trying and/or haven't always approached it the best way we could. But this is a tough job and a tough lifestyle. Crap happens to ALL of us everyday but it seems to hit you the hardest. You need to determine if you can "Truck Up" and overcome.
But if you have another gig lined up, I'd do the right and respectful thing and tell them BEFORE burning up 800 miles of fuel to get home. But that's just me. If you want to stay, it would seem the door has just been opened.JohnBoy Thanks this. -
