OK, I don't mind showing my considerable ignorance here; what the hell is Xata and/or Peoplenet?

 

Electronic loging and vehicle tracking. It keeps track of your HOS and your driving like hard breaks and idle times and if you go over the speed governor.

 

Mine beeped at me 3 times in the last 2 days when i hit a bump on the freeway... luckily my dm just laughs at the report

 

that's another term I am getting tired of the term metric it's over used and I'm not even sure "corporate America" is using it in the right contex, but it sounds cool and hi tech so they go with it.

Ours do not make any sounds at all, they just get flagged and printed on a report.
My spare truck has an air leak so my idle time is through the roof and I has some hard breaks and missed a couple gears so I'll have a bad Xata.

 

Mine will beep intensively if i lock my cruz on to warm up the truck. Boss man says to the lot of us, keep your numbers clean enough spring summer n fall, and i will tell corporate to bite it during the winter.... but i cant make them stop beeping....

 

Have you tried a sledgehammer?

 

The funny thing is, 2 of the 3 trucks i drive were in the shop when the tech heads came in and put them in the trucks. Told the boss man, give me greif about my numbers and ill switch to my spare truck and go ghost!

 

Speaking of my normal truck of which it went away for maintenance almost a month ago and I haven't seen it since then, turns out my truck has left the company shop and is now at the Volvo dealership. It threw an engine computer code that our shop could not fix or clear and they had to send it out to the dealer.

The Volvos have become maintenance night mares one of our 2015 Volvos has been sent back to "the works" needs new fuel injectors and much more It's got all kinds of problems.

My truck I guess they had it for so long because they put on a new bumper I hope and maybe even a new hood will see.

I wonder what's wrong with the computer that the shop could not fix it.

These Volvos have bogged our shop way way down and there struggling with them.

Our company shop almost could be 24-7 they have so much to do.
