My normal truck doesn't talk to Xata so I don't know how they have been fighting my Xata score.

I take that back they can track me on Xata so it works in that sense but it doesn't record millage data so I'm not sure what it gets and what it doesn't get.

Our hand held system is like a phone and it is essential the device that truck talks to.

As said before, a excuse for someone to have a job. Tell ya what, hire on 2 more trucks, and lighten our workload, and tell us to relax, you want safety to come first.... happy drivers, safe records, and im betting cheaper to boot!

Big Don, misterG and Mike2633 Thank this.

Our Peoplenet reports have mpg, idle time, over-rpm and over-speed, all aggregated and scored somehow for a final single numeric score. It's really dumb. For example, over-rpm is anything over 2100 RPM, but in our CNG/Allison equipped trucks, you'll clear 2100 rpm just engaging the jake (which makes the Allison downshift to 4th). It's also silly because CNG and diesel trucks get wildly different mpg numbers. So, the senior guys who leave later in the day and are always in diesels get much higher scores due to the 8-9 mpg diesels vs the 5mpg CNG's.

In the end, it's only useful for keeping tabs on your idle time. But, the numbers make some Dilbert-esque Pointy Haired Boss somewhere all giddy or something.

@JPenn with these automatic trucks, really Xata and people net scoring is obsolete.

    JPenn Thanks this.
