I run with two GPS. (got a really good deal on them). Both Garmin, a 760 and a 770. Lifetime maps. I like having two as I use the map display on one and the data display on the other. Anytime I have problems I just run them over to Olathe. The folks at customer service are great. They update them, replace any worn cords. Never had them charge me anything.

Hirschbach would send me a routing that would get me from City to City. Information that is easily found on a map, but the GPS get you around the city streets quickest.

There are a lot of features that I am just figuring out because dad bought one and he keeps asking me questions. The four Square feature is really nice. Hit it and lots of things within four square miles of you pop up. Gives you locations close enough to walk to.

It all boils down to personal preference. As with any other device everybody is going to have their own opinion. I have never used dezl, Garmin, PC Miler, or any other GPS unit. So I can not give you my opinion of them. I can tell you...... that While others seem to have issues with Rand McNally GPS units, I have had every single model Rand McNally has put out. And I have never had an issue with any of them. Others will tell you they have had routing issues with them, problems with the USB power Supply, and a few other issues I have read on TR . I myself have never had any issues. Rand McNally will also keep track of your miles state by state and also by the date and months they were ran. It will also give you the sunrise and sunset. And all those other little small features that I seem to find unnecessary in a unit that is supposed to only serve one purpose and that is get you from point A to point B. And also maybe keep track of miles. I have just noticed that this is an older thread but thought I would put my two cents in any way.

I have just install my new Garmin 770 GPS and Cam. It is a combination unit. I am not sure of the number as I through the box away. I love it.

I dont believe a word of what you posted. A gps will get you there asap 99 percent of the time and that other 1 percent of the time it will usually be very close. Theres no way you can drive over the road and figure it out faster and easier with a map and calling. #facepalmyouraliarandatroll

With only three posts to your name here on TRR, let's wait a just a bit longer before you start calling other active drivers names.

As a tech lover myself, and still new to driving, I much prefer using my GPS, but it's not prefect... and someone with years of experience driving the main Interstates and US Highways might get from city to city faster as they know the roads and for in town a phone call works too.

A difference of opinion is fine... everyone uses the tools of the trade that they are personally comfortable with... just leave it at that.

I would suggest editing your post to remove the hashtag and work on your tone going forward.

Wow really calling me a liar and a troll. How originial. If your going to call me names at least come up with something creative.

Every word I said was the truth. From the time I was 13 to 18 I rode with my uncle otr on summer breaks. He taught me how to trip plan even before there was gps. So, nice try due. I am more accurate than gps at finding customers. But believe what you want.
