Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

I was supposed to have Monday-Wednesday off, but when I got to the yard yesterday afternoon, I was told there were quite a few drivers ahead of me in line for a load. Got asked if I was okay heading home early. Of course, we all want more miles, regardless of how many we have, but I said no big deal. Just have a big dentist appointment Monday and may not feel like coming back Tuesday. Was told not a problem if that's the case. Went on the hunt for an mty and booked it home. Now, I came up out of NC with a nice mty that I could've just headed right home with, but hey, just my .02 cents!

Now to get started on my "daughter do list" that my mother has for me, along with all my stuff. Y'all be careful out there.

Is the seasonal slowdown starting?. Miles seem to have slumped the past couple weeks. RC mentioned drivers waiting for loads at the yard and I have been in PA since Thursday afternoon (did a whopping 30 miles yesterday) with no idea when I will get moving again.

 

Yikes, if you are not a happy camper what hope do the rest of us have?.

Look on the bright side though, the cooler temps make that Jiffy John at the yard borderline useable.

They didn't. Don said he would have to email Sabra and have them send him a copy, which he would fax to me at a truckstop somewhere.

 

Well, back in Wytheville for a bit... just got all that mud from Loon Lake, WA washed off the truck... good thing I had a PM done between there and here.... it's GREEN once again!!!
