I just signed on to do this account with US Xpress. What can I expect as length of a day, loads, and pay? Also, are you getting your signing bonuses?

 

I had received my sign on , It gets seperately distribute in a length of 1 year, you will drive a total of 400 miles on average with a unload of $220. Good money , u are required to do minimum 3 loads a week but some weeks you can't if a trip is a 800mile trip, your hours would be on average 8 to 14 hour days

 

Cool! Thanks for your feedback. Sounds like if you don't make the money through the unloads, there will be enough miles to make sure you still get paid well. I'm looking forward to it. I finish training in the middle of next week and then I should be heading to Berwick.

So I'm heading out to Berwick Monday morning. I'm assuming that they will re-test me and then finally get me on my way. I was hearing that they generally make you drive to the destination and park in the lot of the store the night before so that you can start your clock when unloading. Is this accurate?

 

Congrats, yes you will have to do a blind backing test and you will have 10-15mins to do it. Winter is coming so make sure you get a -40 degree sleeping bag at walmart, $40 , duck boots if possible $100 ,thermal socks at walmart, hoodies, I wear a fleeced pajamas, thermal undies , and sweat pants at once , LAYER UP ,. Ski mask for sure

Lol! I know what u mean. I'm here now waiting to go out with a driver for 1 day to learn the basics on the account. Should get my first trip on Wednesday. Appreciate your help.

 

I guess having heat in the sleeper isn't an option...
