What is more nerve wrecking: Tight, congested streets or Steep Mountains?

I thought the same thing till I discovered the driver pulled down a service tap not the actual line. Those can be anywhere from 14' up.

 

Also lets not get lost in "legalities". This goes back to another thread about going to Walmarts. When a driver gets off the Freeway they should go into "survivor" mode. Even if the pull down is not your fault what will you do if some snowflake starts crying to a local cop and that cop starts wanting a piece of your backside. If you don't think that cop can't find something to cite you for your living in a foolish world. When you get off the freeway you should be scanning the hell up and down and both sides of the truck. All it takes is just one screw up and it might cost you your job. This subject is why I sometimes wince a bit when I see advise given.

 

I'm going on memory and with epilepsy that memory is sometimes not all that good. I want to remember the driver before he got stopped pulled the service going into the house almost out and pulled the heck out of the transformer. I was watching this on WAVY TV and did not see much more then that.

Never been one to let mountains get me in a twist.

Familiar big city streets not really. The older I get even the unfamiliar backing in off the road don't really get me excited. Hell I'm bigger what they really gonna did. It took a long time getting there though. When the horns are honking and fingers a flying. Take a deep breath and say if you don't like this gear hand you really won't like the next one

 

For sure Tight Streets and traffic ppl cant drive . I'm Comfortable in both but rather do Mountains unless Jake not working mine went out one time a little scary .

 

Tight Streets, if u ever have the pleasure of blindside backing in Brooklyn off a busy street with double triple parked cars and people honking and flicking you off as u back in is very exhilarating. The best is when u make a wrong turn and end up on a residential street with low power lines and "no thru trucks" signs everywhere....

 

In my case "miss Snowflake" was using a pirated line from her neighbor's across the street. That would explain the line that was only 11 feet off the ground

I talked to a guy who had a connection with (a Massachusetts cable provider) who actually had a copy of the paragraph from the lineman's handbook.

In short he said, "if I can hit it, it wasn't strung right."
