I'll put it this way if they start having the IC pay all the tolls and not raise the rate they're going to have a lot of loads just sitting idle and/or lot of ic's saying see ya.. especially the tolls on the northeast

I'm sure Schneider factored their toll costs before brokering the loads to themselves lol.

When you consider down time , costs to switch , time to learn a new system , yes. The LS guys told me to plan on spending 6 months learning before you start to develop things with agents . You won't go there and make bank right away .

I'm not sure that's exactly how the market would see utilization...if you read Swift and other public trucking companies they always talk about revenue per mile/per truck/per division. As IC we don't really fit into the IPO. They can't tell us when to work...sure they can use some historical past numbers but it's not a true figure.

Also, how bad will the turnover get if you have guys sitting and waiting to deliver? Company Drivers loose on that all day long.

Sure we figure into IPO, run or not the fixed costs acre and show on the balance sheet.

As for the long delivery times sitting not driving doesn't affect the rate per mile on that load or truck it only affects the driver. In case no one has noticed they don't exactly care about company drivers 1st.

Any empty trucks look as if they've over purchased equipment where warm butts in seats sitting at a truckstop waiting to deliver looks like a slow freight period.

As business owners we have to think as such, so if any of us aren't willing to recognize the obvious shift at schneider then there's no way can plan long term for our business future.

And an IPO is based off a future projection from historical numbers.

I'm just saying that is NOT how Swift reports. While it may not "effect" the per loaded mile it will effect overall miles per week per truck which the market makers really watch. They also watch for how new of trucks they have because we all know the newer trucks are generally more fuel efficient and have greater safety devices in them this cutting done on accidents and lawsuits. I encourage everyone to read a Swift quarterly report listen to the recorded conference call it is very insightful. We may laugh at them but they know a lot about trucking and the costs and solutions.

Well I have figured out some of the games they play.

I left home, had to dead head to GA. Well they don't want you leaving Florida without taking a trailer out for free so they made me pu a trailer from Walmart. I drop and hooked and took a load to Grain Valley Mo.

I was checking the board ever since I left the house for a load near there. Nothing but junk.

Well the junk started to disappear with nothing being added. I started to worry now and told myself as things are getting bad at Schneider, maybe I should've taken a junk load.

So I get to my destination and and all loads but one are gone. It's a 300 mile solo load going to Walmart in Iowa. So I figure wtf, just take it and dead head to Chicago.

Five minutes after I booked that load, I went back to check and to my disbelief 5 loads appear. Two in the same place I'm delivering!!!! Two in Kansas City, and one in Jefferson City.

So now I'm in full disgust, I have heard of other IC's saying they see what others don't. I now know they don't let you see everything...except for what they want you to take. It's their way of forced dispatch.

To add fuel to the fire there weren't any empties so I had to go fetch a trailer for free. There were two loads at this place, but I had to leave bobtail and go fetch an empty to take to their customer.

What was they said in orientation?

"Please guys, have professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

What ######## hypocrites. There isn't an ounce of integrity from these thieves.

I did my best to help Schneider and their customers. Moving trailers into doors and whatever customers asked of me. Picking up/delivering on time, following all of their stupid rules of no phones/ u turns.

I think I can definitely say I'm not going to finish this lease.
