Any dry van companies out there that run west and most 48,looking to see if it can be done with a good dry van outfit or is it more likely to be done in a refrigerated outfit?

All types of trailers can and are pulled in all 48 states. I don't understand the question?

Where are you located?
Danny Herman Trucking runs coast to coast and no Northeast.
South-East Carriers same.
Danny Herman Trucking has their freight lanes on the website. You can click through them and all of them are good.DRAGON64 Thanks this. -
Most carriers are licensed to haul in 48 but don't truly run 48,I'm looking to run all 48 or as many as possible and mainly want to get out west. I like dry vsn as I'm in now and I know I have a better shot of this in reefer but not sure I'm built to deal with all the bs that you have to deal with in refrigerated companies.

I'm located in Pennsylvania, I'm currently doing dry van and love how it all works in comparison to reefer as I have friends who do reefer and I'm not wanting to deal with the agrivation they speak of. I was considering reefer only because I'd like to drive out west rather than be stuck in the Midwest or northeast as I am. I know the company I'm with doesn't go out west as I knew going in as it's a starter company but now seeing that I'd like to spread me wings, was curious if dry van can accommodate this without going refrigerated.ZhenyaP1991 Thanks this.

Those two dry van I listed won't work then. They don't run Northeast and don't hire in PA.
Check with Calex Logistics. They run west coast for sure.
Check with Titan Transfer; make a phone call.
Sunset Logistics is dry van (www.sunsetus.com)
Navajo Express is 48 states for sure.
Don Hummer Trucking - dry van
Schuster - reefers and the nations largest ice cream hauler. Call to make sure they run 48.Last edited: Nov 19, 2016

Getting to the west coast with Calex would be running reefer though as they bring mostly produce back east.Chinatown Thanks this.

I have thought of Calex as I've followed JohnBoy on hear when he worked there. I have been really interested in Holland Enterprises but the whole reefer thing has me wondering if it's as crazy as most say. I'm a hard runner never late and think my first year as an otr driver is my thing but don't want it ruined by being late to shippers and receivers that wasn't in my control because of what refrigerated brings!
-
Holland drivers that post on here don't seem to have any problems. All their runs are long.
I ran reefers most of my career and liked the challenge and odd hours. That's not for everyone though. No regrets on reefers!JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Don't be scared of reefers I ran ltl otr reefer and it wasn't no problem 95% the other 5% can happen no matter what trailer your pulling.JohnBoy and Trucker Who Thank this.
