Guess they protected that Transportor Beam from Star Treck? Because their law did not allow for deliveries.

So you claim a ticket with the date on it is not proof of me getting a ticket, yet you ask how much the ticket was
In that case I'm really not saying now

You know what guys, this really is ridiculous, 213 plus posts and it is just unreal how people cry about a parking ticket.

It's a frinkn ticket, pay the thing and get back to driving.

A lot of bs is being thrown around here, especially splitting hairs on the term truck. Bobtail isn't a public term, it is one used here and in the industry by many, not all. A truck to the public is what we drive. We don't drive bob tails or something else but trucks.

The cop has a discretion and latitude to make simple mistakes, the ops claim he lied is not a basis for it to be tossed, that just plain foolishness.

I can tell two things about Walmart, they abide by city and county laws with parking, and they don't normally lease parking lots and if they do they control it 100% - so trying to get the owner involved if it is leased is stupid.

Then I will explain this again, in my state and many many others private property means little with PUBLIC parking which this is, private parking is considered controlled. This is not controlled. So unless there is a ordinance or court ruling in the state to stop cops, the cops can enforce posted parking. What this includes is things like handicapped parking where the cops can enforce at will without permission of any owner. Handicapped parking by the way is an owner provided means of compliance.

Pay the ticket, write it off on your taxes and learn some common sense.

I'm not a trucker yet, but because of posts like these I am now keenly aware of messes left by truckers when I go to Walmart especially pee bottles. I can't for the life of me can't understand if parking is so hard to find why some truckers trash the places they are allowed to park.

    Why?

    Because they are lazy idiots.

We face all kinds of problems, most are own cause and well deserved for the most part.

Truckers just don't care and don't respect property then they think we as a society owe them something and think places like walmart is singling trkdrivers out because certain Wal-Mart's or any business won't let trucks park in their lot.Alot of truck drivers think just because they're a citizen they're allowed to park anywhere they please. But because that place of business has to clean up after trkdrivers they quit allowing overnight parking.I can't blame them for their policies. But more times then not drivers ignore signs and do as they please and don't think the manager has any right to call the cops.

In speaking of common sense in CDL school I don't recall being taught that a "no tractor trailers" sign includes ALL forms of trucks including box trucks and trucks without trailers.

That a "no trucks" sign is exactly the same as a "no tractor trailers" sign.
Many in this thread say that is so.
I would appreciate if anybody could share proof of such say in a CDL book, DOT or etc.
Being it's common sense it shouldn't be that hard to locate.
