    Hello all

I have never done a power only load as a broker and was interested in seeing how drivers can price it. Just something for me to do or learn after i get my truck?

I spoke ith a guy today Mobile Al to Tampa 515 miles pickup a flatbed trailer empty nothing on it for 800 bucks. Thoughts please? cheap, low or how do the pricing work?

$800 for a one day trip isn't too bad.

Do you, as a broker, ever pay anyone $800 free and clear every day? If you do I'm sure there are any number of O/O's on here that would love to do business with you.

Could be different factors to this run then I know.ii pull a step deck i wouldn't go from mobile to Tampa for $800 it's almost impossible to get a flat bed load out of Tampa area.i usually want $3 a mile that would be about$1500 or it's not worth it to me .But I might not be understanding all the facts on this one run

Not an owner operator just a company driver. However if I were an owner I would look at where the load was going will you be able to get a power only load back out and what are the rates in the area you will be delivering? If you can't then you have 2 days tied up in it and need to bobtail back home or even farther. So is 800 bucks worth tying 2 days up? I guess only you know YOUR operating cost and what you can do. Not sure any one can say if that load is good for your business model.

But with what I said in my first post even if I could find a power only load out it's going to be cheap out of that area I would want 3 a mile that would be about $1500 .to go into FL.
