Why hate Volvos?

    I have read quite a few posts and threads on here and I have noticed one commonality: it seems a lot of drivers have a bias against Volvos. I'm wondering why that is. I personally think they the ugliest of the big rigs but I have also heard that they have a really good ride and build quality. Can you please give me your opinion? I'm going to be looking for a used truck in order to become an owner operator and I'm wondering if I should consider Volvo or just look for something else.

    They are ugly trucks, but the ergonomics for the pilot/driver are pretty good.

    My cousin is a Volvo hater. He said the only way he'd ever team with me is if he has a hood so no one see's him driving a Volvo.

    The only thing I have against Volvo is all the bright lights they have running on the front,although will have to say the most comfortable of rides..beats the heck out of my classic.

    Seriously, Volvo is made also in America, and Americans earn a living assembling Volvos too. I think they assemble it in Virginia. It is a comfy truck. Quiet good for tall people. I could never drive Pete, being 6"5' I would seem handicapped.
