At least at that time you had 13 to get you from northern DE down into NC.

Right, back when I started with Hendrickson suspension and then "stepup" to a Reyco Ya did a bunch of moving around in the cab

In 78 got my 1st KW with a Torsion Bar suspension which after the other 2 types was like Cadillac like...still should have ordered Air Bags

And yeah, back in those days as 617-Strong sez...I80 in Pa was horrible

When the truck was being ordered we were considering another W9 but it added another 25k onto to cost.

WB is 264" with empty weight at 25,260 full of fuel and equipment. With our lightest spread flat I'm right at 35,000 empty.

We didn't buy it for fuel mileage. I average somewhere around 5-6 usually. It gets pretty much the same or worse as all of our older 379s and w9s with CATs in them. The only reason we didn't go for a W9 was because of cost pretty much.

If it had been my money and my choice I would absolutely love to get a W9 with the 86" studio on it but that isn't going to happen any time soon. One of the things I miss the most is having that couch in the back. I spend a lot of time waiting around at or near job sites for the load to be ready. Being able to kick back and relax on the couch was great.
