Oh ... I pay. For the road call and new tire. The rim came out clean. Scuffed, but no damage.

I'm between Reno and Tolleson, AZ at a little place along US 395.

For the second trip in a row the system is trying to route me way out of my way for fuel, and I'm getting tired of it.
The last trip had me fueling at a TA on I-5, when I should have been routed CA 99 all the way up. 50 extra miles when there was a closer TA along CA 99.
This trip has me routed to the TA in Kingman, AZ, which adds even more miles than the last load.

Needless to say I've ignored it. I'll go the best way and call for fuel when I need it.

Moose,I'm curious why you're on 395 at all. The shorter and easier to drive route is US-95 to Lost Wages then US-93 and 60 to the Phoenix area.

Was it a Michelin and do you have any idea of the cause? Glad you're okay. Steer tire failures, especially the dynamite style ones at cruise speed, are the only thing I truly fear driving a truck.
