Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

For 230k you get 2 volvos 6x4 heavy haulers with all possible equipment rated for 353k lbs
Tag vs single screw is 3k
Tag vs twin screw 1.8k

 

If they are so cheap and plentiful it should be easy for one of you to post a link with a price listed.

If management thought they were worth having , that's 40% savings , we would had them long ago. They run 8000 trucks . That seals it . To save 50,000$ 8000 times , we would have been running them years ago , if the were worth having. That's the end . Volvo North Amercia headquarters is less then 10 miles away , we would get full support . So way not , the answer is clear. DAF answered the question.

 

I want to see one of these guys go from Colorado Springs to Denver, at the speed limit and then tell me how good their air ride cabs are.

@daf105paccar What sized sleeper is that truck you posted? Also what HP, speeds and gearing do you guys use?

 

It is the smaller space cab, not the super space cab.

 

Seems to be missing a fifth wheel. The ad lists absolutely no specs so i can only go off the pictures. It looks to be set up as what we would can a box truck here. Not a tractor. It doesn't even have a fifth wheel. 20 ft of empty frame you would set a box or flatbed on. And that sleeper is what? 36 inches max. In what way shape or form can you say this closely resembles a class 8 otr American highway truck?

 

Of course it is not a tractor, that is very obvious. Standard sleepers in the EU are much smaller then in NA, why that is has been explained many times. The next picture, that I posted just one or two days ago, shows the same kind of truck , but with an extended super space cab.
