Notarps works for them and knows a lot about that company. I am sure he will chime in in a couple.

    hey scab,

As far as I know maverick will accept students from cdl schools, You basically have to get your cdl, then you can go through their training with them, They are on the top of my list of companies to go with when i graduate in 3 weeks.

Yeah, I have been with 6 co's since the 80's. Like a fool I left maverick a month ago, but am going back today. They are by far the best co I have ever been with. Yes; to your question they will take newbies. When you get out of your school they will train you to their standards.

Notarps who had the greener grass that you left for?

I sure learned after leaving Landstar the grass IS NOT greener, we just think it is some times.

I've thought of them as a small possibility... not for lease purchase tho.

I have found this out as well yesterday when i tried pulling a load for someone else after my whole cops fiasco. I quickly told them to take their 4 pallets of crap out of my trailer and went right back to the other guy i worked with for years. Make a long story short i was not going to run around MI doing pick ups all over, going to detroit that night for a measly $1000, after running the millage it wouldnt even be $1.90/mile :biggrin_25512:

The grass is NEVER greener on the other side LOL.
