When I did the bus brake test I did all eight elements but not in the order that we were taught, so I had to take a second time.

The second time I studied a little harder and came up with acronyms for the first four steps and for the second four steps along with whether the button should be in or the key on. I memorized it and it worked, as I passed.

Lagging do not quit! I know you're not considering quitting after all the time, effort, and research you put into getting your CDL. Success is not a mistake but more or less a journey which evolves over time.

    Reading, evidently (c'mon, man!)
This why @Chinatown suggests you touch and yell during your pre-trip, Patty? Lol. (easily one of the funniest posts I've read - months back)
    See above.

I've no sagacious (@F150Jim) advice. I passed it once. I no longer use brakes. EVER! Just down shift every gear like @bearsalad. Everything will be alright.

    SHOJim and Mike2633 Thank this.

Stay with it, it will be over soon. Besides, you couldn't convince me otherwise for a second, but if they fail you, that's more money for them the next time you come in, kind of like health exams. Crooks.:biggrin_25512:

I just took my test yesterday. It's all fresh. When I took my first brake test as part of my pre-trip in school, I failed it. I was pretty devastated. Every day, I would write it down from memory. At least once a day. Don't give up. Keep after it.
