You'll look at those Trans Am trucks with gratitude now. You got some of the best training available… On how you don't want to work and live…
And I'm sure you'll have a lot of gratitude to work for a good company that cares about you as a person. Looking forward to your new threads!

Got a question for y'all. I'm at a smaller company now and they don't have some of the technology I'm used to. Mostly that's a good thing but one area is giving me a bit of trouble figuring out exactly how to accurately deal with.

I'm required to manually track route and mileage through each state I travel through for IFTA reports. Is there an app or a particular model of GPS that will log this for me so I can copy it down to my paperwork.

Of course I'll keep a pad and pen handy, but sometimes you just plain miss something so it'd be really nice to have a backstop.

Most trucker GPS units have a state crossing/tracking feature for IFTA purposes.

any Rand McNally GPS can be set up to track this for you
Do you remember what kind of elog Transam had?
It has been 4 years since I drove for them

I use the recorder app on my phone when I cross a state line and note the odometer mileage and state In which leaving and entering.

Trans Am has a proprietary gps/e-log/communication device made by Garmin. It has replaced the old Treq unit in most all their trucks now.

Did you look at the playstore?
    There are IFTA apps.
Look like the best one is 120$ a year and the cheaper option is 25$ a year.
    Just type IFTA in playstore.
Maybe ask the boss if he will reimburse you?

D LOOK and Broke Down 69 Thank this.
