Like stated above nothing horrible about grocery really depends on region. Out of Bedford multiple stops around Baltimore fighting traffic vs GM 1 store drop and hook, plus having to wait for store manager to unlock doors plus unloading time. Out of wintersville it ain't too bad. Again keep checking back and put in app when you're able to. It's WELL worth it

They have that schedule but they have over 200 drivers, so it might be some time before you get a program there.

Nothing wrong with grocery. I don't sit outside the doors forever either, I'll give them five minutes then I walk up front and start searching for someone. Only time I'm waiting is when they're on break. Very easy to have 375+ dollar days hauling groceries even in traffic.

Yesterday I had the privilege of representing Walmart at the Hells Angeles annual toy run for the needy and homeless kids of Fresno, CA. Walmart donated the use of 4 tractors out of the 14 that transported 827 bikes and 16000+ toys. Seeing the smiles on those kids faces was the best feeling. 20161210_123623.jpg 20161210_123623.jpg 20161210_123631.jpg

So can anyone explain how exactly your paid from WM? The HR person showed me something that showed .44CPM (which is .17 CPM less than I earn now) but nothing on hourly or exactly how you'd be paid. She was not sure how exactly we would be paid. If .44 cpm was top rate, what the hourly rate was, etc... I understand it might not be her function but when your making a big decision it helps to have the details. Thanks.

BTW: I did ask her if it's possible to make $400.00/day and she said that no one in trucking makes that. From what I read here a lot of WM drivers do, as do I currently.

My Dad was 72 when he retired and was avg $380 a day, so if you can work as hard as a 70 yr old it's possible.

Besides mileage, you get paid activity pay, i.e. arrival pay, drop and hook pay, live load/unload, these are set pay. But for example you go to a store for a drop and hook, you will receive an arrival and a drop and hook, at my DC that is 18.00, if it takes more than 45 minutes you go on un scheduled tI me. If you go to a scheduled meeting you will be paid 1/10th average daily pay per hour. I have been here 9.5 months and I am currently at a 369.00 adp.
