Eco roll on my freightliner essentially disengages the clutch so the tach drops to idle rpm and the truck free rolls downhill at rapidly increasing rate. Yeah, that's not neutral, but it has the same effect and it's easier to just say neutral than clutch disengagement mode.![]()

Whelp, I sure don't half ### anything, do I? Guy comes out to get brakes unstuck. Get down to gencol and set brakes to hop out and make sure ice won't be an issue...AND ROLL LIKE I DONT HAVE BRAKES SET!!!! So, I call the guy back and he comes over here and tries (notice I said tries) to fix them. Nope. Right rear keeps locking up now. So here I sit waiting for a tow to a shop. Told my DM that I have to crack jokes about it because if I don't, I'm either going to cuss, cry, or maybe both, at this point. 3 days I've been trying to get this load. Glad it's not an important one, but still. I hope I will at least get some breakdown pay out of it. I need a really stiff drink right about now. I know it's only 11 am, but dangitall!!!

Came in Sunday and found put i had to cover another drivers load who had something come up. Kudos to abilene for helping out drivers in need. And this driver did not need to be coming to brooklyn where i now sit. Lotsa trucks here today. Been playing find brand new parking spots and streets ive never been on today. I guess thats part of the "experience" now just waiting on whats next. Itd be nice to leave now in the afternoon crawl/walk instead of the evening sit and creep

Finally made it to the hotel at 11 pm. Long dang day! This ordeal began at 8 am at the truck stop with the first call to breakdown. Then over at gencol ALL day. At around 6:30 pm is when the tow truck finally arrived. My entire braking system is frozen. The dealer might get to it tomorrow afternoon. And I must say, there were at least 6 other Abilene drivers that came and went at gencol today and not a single one bothered to ask if all was ok, even the one that walked past as the wrecker driver was just getting there. Really feeling the ❤️.

If I see another driver sitting in their truck I'm not asking how they're doing. I will just think they're on a break or waiting for a load.
Sometimes I will wave and sometimes not. I usually can't tell if they waved or not anyways. I don't have the interrupt so I don't flash the lights. -
That moment when you realize it's colder outside of your reefer than it is inside your reefer.
