Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Ya. Only one driver even acknowledged I was there. As I watched them all slip on the remaining ice in the drop lot.

 

Unreal! Dropped my truck at the yard Friday. Wrote it up at 7:20pm for it's needs. As of this morning (just called them) all I got is ... "It's been seen but not ready yet". It's been seen??? What, seen parked in the yard??? LOL

Pretty amazing lack of effort when you have a guy ready and willing to run over Christmas, lot's of freight dispatch is desperately trying to cover (getting calls asking where I am), and a shop that isn't that busy.

I was told to call back at 12:30 as they're "hoping to be ready this afternoon". Even though I woke up at 4:30am, I'm sure they'll want me running as soon as it's done (probably tonight).

Guess I better switch myself into 24 hour mode ... again.

 

I was under the impression that we only had access to the last six months at any point... but ok...

And hey, not bad for a newbie, won't be long and you'll be getting that special "million miler" jacket...

Awe, she is such a special lady... and obviously loves you a lot... she deserves something better than those load locks that you got her with your Loves Points... just sayin'

 

That's the only time I don't mind refers as they are as quiet as a dry van.

 

The various trucker GPSes have a "fastest route" setting and a "shortest route" setting. I need one with a "least stressful route" setting. The QC GPS loooooves to route me down Main Street, Small Town USA, with lots of narrow lanes and sharp turns. Puts me right on edge, it does.
