I've used Cheema's docks to transfer loads in Ripon. Surly reception , honey bucket for the drivers, so from my limited exposure, letsgetreal's comments lined up with what little I saw. I don't work for Cheema to be clear.

So you want a thank you after every load? and gift cards too?
No wonder they're trying to automate these trucks. some drivers are too much to deal with.

I never said I want gift cards after my runs. I said my new boss gives me gift cards on his choice. I don't care what job it is, if I am being treated like a minority, I would complain and find a better one.

It was pouring, and I came from a run. I parked my truck and went into the Cheema office. I asked if I can use the office bathroom. The dispatcher there said," dude driver bathrooms are outside." He pointed at the honey bucket. I walked in the dirty flooded ground and used the dirty leaking honey bucket. Later that day I went home. I was wet, dirty and felt like dirt. Cheema made me feel that way. Today, I am proud. I feel like a professional driver. I come home clean. And most importantly, I use the same bathroom as my boss. Thank you.

    This is pretty good-
As an owner myself-Ive listened to Both sides of this story-
LetsGetReal- Come on man, Over a Bathroom? More important things to worry about
Did Cheema pay You on time, every week,And Most importantly accurately? If your answer is Yes, Well,If the Other things bothered you,Send out Resume's.
Did Cheema Repair equipment that you and other drivers write up? If Yes, You Cant knock him down cause his Trailer Pool had issues, Apparently Drivers aren't writing them up!
You Stated the Dispatcher was mean? Be More Specific, I Mean Really, If He was Mean to everyone.....I Highly Doubt he picked on you personally....Also,Dispatchers that are Mean AND Impatient Will Not Last Long ANYWHERE, Any Owner will agree with me on that 1.

    Now, Cheema's turn.......
Why haven't you Moved into a larger facility PRIOR to capacity expansion?? You Dropped the Ball on that 1.(even if your lease wasn't exhausted yet)
Why Are you in a Bronze Insurance Package for your employees? Show a touch more Class and Go With what the Bigger Boys do,So What, It costs a little More-Cost of doing Business handsomely.,

Check their street view and you will see the honey bucket. Now imagine when it's raining and you have to go.
You have to treat the janitor with the same respect as the CEO! They have posters in their office saying, "no driver allowed behind this zone." Perspectives are different. You might think it's no big deal. I, however, can't work in a place where I feel like a minority.

I was at a T/A in Barstow and there was a guy there buying a fuel cap for a reefer tank. I stood there in disbelief as he was telling the cashier that his trainer said don't bother buying another cap. They are only going to Bakersfield and dropping the trailer. I didn't manage to catch what truck he got in to. But for doing the RIGHT thing, when your TRAINER gave trash advice, Thanks!

Point in that, is you certainly can't fix a problem you don't know you have. What if the next couple drivers to pull that trailer were like that trainer, or worse? didn't say anything, or even caused more damage? Makes the company look bad.

Cheema seems to have a several recurring violations which seem to indicate that problems are NOT related to the driver though. Brakes, tires, lights, h.o.s violations, etc. I know there will almost always be some random problem when you are dealing with dozens of trucks (or more), but simple maintenance and h.o.s issues shouldn't occur at such a frequency.

I know plenty of places where drivers are not allowed. I guess you have never been to a dock where you open the door and are greeted with a tiny little fence box. Some places let you in, some don't. Ever deliver at a wal-mart where the people are behind glass? You gotta remember, because of many fat, dirty, rude, violent, etc drivers, these things have came about. Get used to it. Fact of life. No thank you notes every time a load is delivered. A nice (new if you're lucky) maintained truck, and a pay check that turns in to cash every week is about all the thanks we can get used to for awhile.

It's also NOT drivers like me who "accept" that it make it worse. I have made it worse on myself "job hopping" looking for that perfect company. They don't exist. It's drivers being idiots, crybabies and needing their hands held that make it worse.

Yes, sir. You're right. I can't illustrate my perspective. I know about driver restrictions, but Cheema's office has seats where drivers can't sit in. Nevertheless, I am a proud driver today. I found my place and it's wonderful. Thank you

    Also, Merry Christmas!
