Is there a scientific chart showing how much fuel you save by going slower?

If I ran paper logs I'd run 55 all day. Just lose too much time on elogs, so I run 60-65. Usually always around 7-8 mpg.

    That's what we've been saying all along...lol

I think you missed my point.

    Again, the Original Question was:

Are the fuel savings from cruising @ 60-65mph greater than profit earned by next load, even if i have to hammer down @ 75+mph to get that next load.

Only problem with the KR is if you have different rates, changing it in the KR changes it for all your runs. In other words, you can't have multiple rates in the KR.

How is it more fun? I've ran fast before and absolutely hated it. Always changing lanes, running up on other slow traffic, watching for bears, etc. I was way more stressed at the of the day. Crash risk goes way up.

Again the answer is based on each individual situation. Without knowing the variables of current and next load who can say.

Just leave him alone. In his eyes he's legal I guess. Logging it as you do it is legal, not lying about your speed.

Win the battle, lose the war is how I look at it. In time all that fast driving takes a toll on the equipment and takes away the extra you made anyway, in addition to heightened crash risks driving fast.
