I live in Denver have grand kids near Green Bay. The only way to the house is going to Texas or California. Sure there's a load here and there going to Denver but nothing like it was. I'm going to a small out fit in Wisconsin that run Denver and back should be perfect and way more money. Don't get me wrong I liked Schneider and it wasn't a easy choice to leave.

You can take that SFI truck to almost any other company. It's right in your lease. Yes you have to be in good standing with SFI to do so. I took mine was easy. Not one objection no hassle, but you better know/have the insurance in place before you leave.

Did you have any issues getting plates for the truck? I know a couple of drivers right now that have tried to leave, were in good standing, but sfi wouldn't give them the poa or let them re title the truck to get the plates, so they got stuck and had to come back to sni. How did you get through that red tape?

The new company got me the base plate. So I don't know what they had to do as I am running under there authority. I started the process about 6 weeks before I was going to leave. SFI should never withhold if it's an approved trucking company.

They were both going to approved companies but sfi wouldn't give power of attorney or the title to the approved company so they can get plates. Only a few states allow for out of state registered trucks to get plates without reregistering the truck. Illinois, Oregon, Idaho, Indiana and Missouri are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

That's why I was curious how your replating process went. What state did your new company plate you out of?
