Yes it lives at the showgrounds.

Last time I was there they had it parked on a big pile of dirt they pushed up with it.

Here's another machine that lives at a show in Le sueur MN. It's a Euclid TC-12 scraper pusher. It has two 6v71 Detroit's in it. It's interesting how each side can pivot up and down independently. There is a big shaft towards the rear they pivot on. I also seem to remember one engine sits forwards and the other backwards the only difference is the camshafts are different. I understand they weren't very popular and didn't actually work very well.

I had the pleasure of talking to the old timer that restored this machine probably 10 or 15 years ago. I'm sure he's long since passed. He was the one piece coverall pens and ruler in the pocket type guys if you know what I mean. Probably knew more then any college trained engineer or mechanic and most likely had an eighth grade education.

I'm sorry if everything I posted is not completely accurate I'm going by memory. pioneer-power-euclid-cat.jpg

That's the machine that became the 8280 Terex I was asking @truckdad about. They will counter rotate two transmissions one for each track.

Now that I think of it the engines just rotate a different direction.

You were accurate the 8280 was just newer. I didn't realize the engines rotated opposite but they're Detroits so it would be easy to do. I know they had two complete drive trains one for each track. They're pretty cool.

The parade route on this show has a fairly steep hill. It sounds neat when they give 'er going up it.
