Mine was junk before I even caught it. I got fuel about 200 miles before. No problem then. About 100 miles later saw some dampness on my tarps but figured it was ice melting in the sun. Never heard any difference or saw the trans temp rise. Just poped out of gear and started making a horable noise. It was already gone. I drove on the shoulder about 1.5 miles to York.
The setup no longer has a cooler needless to say. That won't happen to me agian.
Funny part was the original reman I put in never sounded quite right. It was not bad but just rattled during idle. The new one is quiet as a mouse.

The thing is; is to be able to take a hit like this and keep your head above water.

Thanks for the icy beverage. Yea it was close. The day before I had this happen.
I had to have someone from our company drive out bobtail and finish my load I did 70% of. All together cost about $10k.
Glad I made the choice to drag the truck home and do it myself. Rough end to the year but hopefully the worst is behing me?
Worst part is a mouse got in my truck while the trans was out I guess? I can't catch the little bastage!!!! I got sticky traps in there this weekend.
Game on for next year!!!!singlescrewshaker, Ruthless, Grijon and 1 other person Thank this. -
Peppermint oil on cotton balls will get rid of the mouse pretty quick. You'll need 2-3 bottles, soak the cotton till it's nearly dripping then create a barrier to funnel it toward the traps or a way out.

New bumper on. Still need to fix and paint the hood. 18" drop stainless steel.
Pulled the valve cover and have the #5 intake followers bad and the cam going flat. Looking at a Cummins ReCon crate complete engine.($25000.00?) Still checking around.
So far my new revenue plan for this year is working out as expected.singlescrewshaker, Ruthless, rollin coal and 3 others Thank this. -
Mouse is gone. Finally had to use a snap trap. Dead less than an hour after I set the trap with 3 musketeers bait.

So you're keeping the international? Not getting a different truck?

In the last three years I spent about the same amount on my used truck(including down payment) that I would've on payment installments for a new truck and in the next 2 years I'll have to do the in frame (12k-20k) or let it run until it gives its last breath and get rid of the carcass. A new truck to justify the purchase would need to run seamlessly for the first 500k miles. No troubles. No downtime. Just scheduled maintenance visits, PMs and tires. But can I expect that?
Tug Toy and ramblingman Thank this.
