Just goofing off today. No one is open around here to get parts. Pulled the piston and liner, found a nick on the piston. So I'm just going to go for a liner pack instead of liner and re-ringing the piston.

I'm lucky to have a couple of big steel warehouses close. The one I have had an account with for 20+ years will CNC cut for cheap when I give them the CAD files I do, which is nice.

From what I can see, the cross hatching on that liner looks pretty good! So do the bearings...
BTW, did you pop the head to check the pistons, or did you boroscope it first?Oxbow and Superhauler Thank this. -

I don't buy much T1, but because of the quantity of other steel I buy, my prices are pretty good. My steel place isn't open today to check, but... Looking at another local steel supplier, their online price (off the street), for a piece of T1, 1/2 x 4 x 8 is $690.00. My prices are usually around 50-60 % of that for normal stuff.... T1 isn't exactly your normal every day steel, so I would guess my price would be somewhere around 75%... but that's just guessing.1951 ford Thanks this. -
