Where did you read that? Or, did the OP remove it?Danch Thanks this.

Yes he did. My guess is that he doesn't want family to be a consideration. That's cool.
I get the feeling that the local job doesn't have good pay. I am a road driver. Being home ever night isn't a selling point to me. I started local. HOWEVER, I wouldn't go go OTR or regional for the same money that a local driver makes.Danch Thanks this. -
Your right triplesix i just wanted to get an opinion without the family angle being in the picture b/c i'm not really concerned about being away. Thanks a lot for the responses. I wish I really knew which one would pay more b/c overtime may even out with the cpm job when you consider the unloading. It all depends on how much overtime for the local job, and how many times a day ect. you have to unload and not drive on the regional job.

Thanks for the response, I see what you mean.

Another caveat I forgot to mention, which I'm not sure will make a difference. For the local job you would be driving a crew of people to a job site and taking part in the installation of guardrails (assume the labor part is no problem) . I add that because I've never driven with people in the truck with me unless it was a road test or in school and I know many drivers love the job due to being alone on the road ect.

I would say, make youd decision based on future goals. Otr, local ect..

Is that a state job or contracted?Redtwin Thanks this.
